At Fukoku Bussan, we define our corporate philosophy of being a “Development-Oriented Trading Company” as participating from the development stage to provide the “information,” “products,” and “services” our customers seek, through an extensive global network and our unique expertise.
Since our founding in May 1947, we have grown by supplying a diverse range of products to various industries, including railways, automobiles, office automation equipment, and information and telecommunications.
In recent years, we have also evolved into a trading company with manufacturing capabilities, operating factories not only in Japan but also in China, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam, thereby actively expanding our global presence.
Furthermore, in response to administrative concerns about the declining number of agricultural workers, we have entered the agriculture sector. Alongside rice farming, we have obtained a license to sell alcoholic beverages and have started selling sake produced through commissioned brewing.

As a trading company, Fukoku Bussan exists thanks to the continued support of our clients and suppliers. One of our core management principles is to be “a trusted company by our business partners,” and we remain committed to prioritizing our partners as we continue to grow as a development-oriented trading company.

In June 2025, we launched our new medium-term management plan, “FG2030.” Achieving its goals will require bold initiative and unwavering commitment from every employee. With each of us taking responsibility and embracing the spirit of Oubaidourii—where each individual blooms in their own unique way—we aim to grow as a “Development-Oriented Trading Company” and a “Solution Partner,” creating new value together with our customers.
